Free Brain Test Online

Fifty-four tests in one place — intelligence, memory, reflexes, reasoning and personality, each scored the moment you finish.

What a brain test can and cannot tell you

"Brain test" covers three quite different things, and most of the confusion around online testing comes from mixing them up. An ability test such as an IQ or reasoning test tries to estimate a broad capacity, and its score is only meaningful against a population norm. A benchmark such as reaction time or memory span measures one narrow function very precisely, and the number stands on its own. A self-report questionnaire such as a personality test measures what you say about yourself, which is useful for description but cannot be right or wrong. This site has all three, kept clearly apart, because reading a personality result as an ability score is the single most common mistake people make.

Where to start

If you came here for a number, take the free IQ test first — thirty mixed questions, twenty-five minutes, scored on the standard scale where 100 is average. If English is not your first language, the culture fair test uses only shapes and is the fairer instrument. If you have five minutes and want something immediate, start with reaction time and sequence memory instead; they are quick, they are oddly addictive, and they give you a real number without a long sitting.

How our scoring works

Ability tests convert your raw correct count to the familiar scale where the average is 100 and fifteen points is one standard deviation. That mapping is a practice estimate, not a clinical result, and you should read your number as a band of roughly ten points rather than an exact figure. Benchmarks report the raw measurement — milliseconds, digits, levels — with a percentile based on published population estimates. Personality tests report a position from 0 to 100 on each scale and deliberately produce no ranking at all.

No account, no email, no paywall

Every test is free and complete. There is no partial result that unlocks after payment, no registration wall before the score, and no email capture. Your answers are processed in your browser and never sent anywhere; the only thing that ever leaves your device is a nickname and a single number, and only if you choose to post a benchmark score to a leaderboard.

What this is not

It is not a clinical assessment. A supervised test administered by a psychologist controls the room, the timing and your history with similar material, and this page controls none of those. If a result matters for a diagnosis, a school placement or a job decision, the number you get here is a starting point for curiosity and nothing more.

Frequently asked questions

Is this brain test free?

Yes, all 54 tests are completely free with no account, no email and no payment at any stage.

How long does a brain test take?

The speed and memory games take one to five minutes. The IQ and reasoning tests run from five to thirty minutes depending on which one you choose.

Which brain test is the most accurate?

For a broad estimate, the free IQ test with 30 questions. For a result unaffected by language, the culture fair test. Both are practice estimates rather than clinical assessments.

Do I have to register to see my score?

No. Your score appears immediately on the results screen, and nothing is hidden behind a sign-up or a payment.

Can children take these tests?

The reasoning and IQ tests are written for adults and their score bands assume an adult population, so a child's result will read as low even when their reasoning is strong. The speed and memory games are fine at any age.

Are my answers stored anywhere?

No. Answers are scored in your browser and never transmitted. Only a nickname and a single score are sent, and only when you press submit on a leaderboard.
